My name is Bessie, I’ve been blessed with four amazing kids. It was a struggle raising them, financially, emotionally and mentally, but I do not regret it at all. There’s no instruction or guide book on how to raise kids, it was a learning experience for me, i had no support system. My priority was to raise my kids the best I could with what I had and prayed every night that God will help me get thru this. I used to ask myself what did I ever do to deserve to be put in this situation, why me? I’m not a criminal, never did drugs, all I’ve ever done was to try to please everyone. I thought that if they’re happy then I’m happy. That’s something I’m still struggling with til this day. My purpose of creating this group is to let all the women and young girls out there know that whatever you are going thru or struggling with, know that that is not your final destination. Know that you’re not alone. We all have stories, some worse than others but we are survivors. We can overcome anything that we put our mind to It. I would always tell myself that maybe God is testing me and at the same time teaching me how to handle difficult situations that will make me stronger. Sometime we have to go thru certain paths throughout our life to get to where we are today. If sharing my stories can help others, just imaging how many women or young girls we all can help by sharing your stories.
